How to use

Five steps to your first reading, then the questions everyone asks once they’ve run a few.

— The flow

Step 1 · Upload your creative

Drag and drop, paste a URL, or click to browse. Images and videos up to 50 MB. For carousels, attach each card in the order it will appear.

Step 2 · Add your ad copy

Paste the headline or body text users will read alongside the creative. Copy materially affects the reading — Meta’s retrieval reads the words as well as the image, and so does Ad Atelier.

Step 3 · Select format and intent

Format: Static, Video, Carousel, or Copy-only. Format changes the analysis lens — a static reads like a still, a carousel reads as a sequence with a weakest card.

Intent: Cold (prospecting), Warm (retargeting), or Auto. Auto is fine until you start optimising for a specific funnel stage.

Step 4 · Run the check

Click Run check. The prediction lands in two to eight seconds.

Step 5 · Read your Tribe Map

The output shows the audience tribe Meta is most likely to route your creative into, plus an age band and gender skew. Calibration improves the per-brand fit as you run more checks.

— Calibration

Calibration is how Ad Atelier learns your brand. By connecting your Meta Business account, we fetch the actual audience that received your recent ads — and compare it against our Stage 1 predictions.

Every misalignment between predicted and actual becomes a data point. Over time, predictions adjust to your specific brand’s routing patterns — the audience tribes Meta actually sends your creative to, not just the general population’s.

How it works

  1. Connect Meta Business via OAuth (ads_read scope only — we never modify your campaigns).
  2. We fetch recent campaign delivery data (audience demographics, placement, performance).
  3. Each new prediction gets weighted against your brand’s actual patterns.
  4. Calibration improves with every reading; expect noticeable accuracy gains after 30 days.

Available on Brand and Agency tiers

Calibration requires persistent brand data and the Meta integration. The Personal tier provides general Stage 1 predictions without calibration; Brand and Agency unlock the per-brand learning loop.

— Frequently asked

What does “Stage 1” mean?

Stage 1 is Meta’s retrieval layer — its first audience-selection step. It determines who sees your ad before the auction begins. A bad Stage 1 routing can’t be fixed by bidding harder; that’s why we read it.

How accurate is the prediction?

Backtest accuracy: 82.4% Tier 1 match on N = 17 fashion-DTC ads. Per-brand calibration improves over time as the atlas learns your divergence patterns.

What’s the difference between tiers?

  • Personal — 100 creatives per month. Bulk-check a batch at once. Solo operator’s testing rhythm.
  • Brand — Unlimited within fair use (1,000 / month), plus Meta calibration that learns your account.

Will my creative or copy be shared?

No. Your assets and predictions stay in your account. Calibration data improves predictions only for your brand — never crossed with another customer’s. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Where does the gold dot on the atlas come from?

The dot on § 02 of the landing page is a sample reading — its position reflects the tribe space coordinates of the example creative we ship. Your own readings sit on the same atlas; the Tribe Map you see after each check positions your creative against the same coordinates.
